Gratitude

As we close out the year - and decade, it seems like the perfect time to reflect on all the positives!  Sorry negatives, I know you're around but you've just got to take a backseat here!

First and foremost, I'm grateful for my family and for our health. I could drop the mic right here, because that's really what matters the most.

Selfishly, I'm also grateful for having launched the first few of my (many) songs out into this new, amazing streaming/download world. On the cusp of my third release, "The Great American Dream", I just learned that my second song, "Book of Memories" was among the finalists for Best Modern Country Song for Fall 2019. While there may be like 10,000,000+ finalists for all I know (OK, probably not that many), I'll still happily accept it.

My continued motivation for sharing my music is to hopefully learn that it may connect with others in some way - be it a lyric or a theme. If my songs can move people in some small way and make them feel even more alive during those 3-4 minutes, then that is worth more to me than anything else I may receive in the music business.

I look forward to continuing on in the next decade and hope everyone reading this can find and hold onto their own special gratitudes. There's a good reason why 'smile' muscles are typically stronger than 'frown' muscles.

Happy New Year everyone!
